About Shelton®

Shelton Capital Management is a boutique asset manager with more than 40 years of experience and over $7 billion in assets under management as of 4/30/2026. Through mutual funds, ETFs, and SMAs, Shelton helps advisors serve a wide range of client needs across evolving market environments.

Over four decades, Shelton has remained committed to deep research, disciplined decision-making, and a more connected advisor experience.

You call, and a real human being picks up the phone. At our firm, you won’t get lost in a chain of chatbots and phone trees. You won’t find stuffy attitudes, either. In the era of AI, authenticity is at the heart of what we do, from real conversations to open doors. Our measure of success is that you are excited recommending us to your colleagues, friends, and family because impressive service is simply what we do.

Shelton Capital Management was built on the belief that investment management works better when expertise is paired with accessibility, discipline, and long-term perspective. From the beginning, the firm has taken a boutique approach, placing value on thoughtful execution, strong relationships, and a more connected client experience.

Richard “Dick” Shelton, founder of Shelton Capital Management, built the company’s foundation by serving individual investors directly, seeking to deliver solid investment performance alongside authentic client service. A Stanford alum and Korean War veteran, Dick Shelton earned trust not through scale for its own sake, but through personal relationships, dedication to service, and a belief that investment management should remain grounded in people.

Over the past four decades, Shelton has expanded its capabilities without losing sight of the relationships at the core of the business.

Beyond our compelling lineup of investment solutions, Shelton is distinguished by its human-centric service. The firm is committed to growth, authentic client service, and the highest level of professionalism. Academic excellence, business ethics, and deep investment expertise are the baseline. Shelton’s team goes further by supporting the relationships at the core of the business as thought leaders and strategic partners.

Shelton believes advisors deserve an investment partner that combines disciplined thinking with practical support. Client needs are rarely one-size-fits-all, which is why Shelton remains vehicle agnostic and offers a range of structures, including mutual funds, ETFs, and SMAs.

In Shelton’s investment process, decisions remain grounded in fundamental research and active management. Data science, machine learning, and select AI tools help sharpen the process, but accountability remains with the investment team.

For advisors, the value of a partnership often comes down to what it enables. Shelton is built to support advisors with focused expertise, direct access, and a more responsive experience.
